Touch Newsletter #253
Welcome to the Touch Newsletter #253. Today is Bandcamp Day, whereby all their fees are removed thus increasing the artist’s revenue share; this autumn we have begun the Touch: Displacing subscription, with all income divided up amongst the contributors and so far we have made three tracks available, with more coming on a monthly basis…
October – Sohrab “Kharabat”
November – Olivia Block “Wuther”
December – Bana Haffar “Intimations”
…and coming in January, Chris Watson’s “Station Chapelle”.
Bana Haffar will be broadcasting fresh sounds recorded in Beirut on “Radio Raheem”, (Milan) 10PM GMT+2 on Saturday 5th December.
Touch have also recently released Cleared’s “The Key”, Steven Hess and Michael Vallera’s first collaboration for us, and Jacaszek’s “Gardenia”, field recordings which were later digitally processed and used as part of nine musical arrangements. Recent releases on The Tapeworm include a self-titled edition by Apiary, whose line-up includes Cleared’s Steven Hess, and “Hidden Codes” by Trinovantes, a new collaboration between old friends Franz Kirmann and Stuart Bowditch.
