July 1st 2020 – Guerrilla 119
This all started with a coffee machine sample at Metropolis studios, then it went to an organ played at Westminster Cathedral and I found myself trying out various atmospheres from around the world. I was looking for toads from Thailand and ended up briefly with insects from Kyoto. So it goes. I know I’ve ended up with a homemade bow and arrow from Berlin.
Oh yes, there’s two chimes from an ancient Zeiss projector in a closed Lisbon cinema. The organ is played by Mr Martin Baker. Genius improvisor, by the way. A favourite musician of mine, but I’ve looped a small section which has an odd sound on it. I didn’t like it, but now I do. I nearly forgot the synthetic bongo. Who on earth would forget that?
