Guerrilla 18

15th April 2016 – Guerrilla 18

I wasn’t even sure I’d made this.

There is a plastic toy pig from Devon, some flamingos on a beach which i recorded off the TV. Someone filmed them on their telephone. They’re at the end. There is a snatch of Mick Ronson feedback I’d never heard before and a stroke or two on a cello. One new piece is evolving from the very start. It’s made, then remade and edited. I’ve no idea what it is, but I like it. Its electric and has a message from the Chinese authorities in the middle for some reason. It’s an Ableton sploot redigested. This is followed by a piece I made years ago with our young son Jasper in a playroom in Vidouse, near Pau in the south west of France. He is the pianist. And I’m the treatment man. I played this live once in St Giles-in-the-Fields, London. I recited poetry then by Harold Pinter to accompany this piece. At about 19:50 there’s a very commercial electronic piece, followed by our pink friends on the beach and the plastic pig in the suntrap.
That’s all folks, until next time.
